To borrow
- Borrowers must be at least 18 years old and show an identity document when they register, for a first loan.
- Borrowers undertake to have third-party liability insurance, so that they can cover any damage to a borrowed item or its loss.
- Items can only be borrowed and returned during the opening hours of the ObjetsThèque Saint-Mathieu.
During the loan
- Borrowers undertake to take good care of the item.
- The item is for the borrower’s own use: it must not be lent to anyone else.
- The item may not be used for professional or commercial purposes, nor rented out.
- The item must be used as intended by the manufacturer or designer. Safety features must never be obstructed or disabled in any way.
- Borrowers undertake to stop using the item if it appears to be faulty or unsafe.
- Borrowers take full responsibility for the use of the item and for all consequences of its use, even if damage is caused by a fault in the item.
- In particular, they will take care when using electrical appliances.
Duration and extension
- The loan period will be respected, or an extension will be requested before the item’s return date.
- A loan can only be extended if the item has not already been reserved by someone else.
On return
- Any fault or damage must be reported when the item is returned, or when it is collected.
- Borrowers will make sure to return all accessories supplied with the item, according to the attached list of accessories. A check is made when the item is borrowed and when it is returned.
- The borrowed item must be returned clean. If it has batteries, they must be fully charged.
- If the item is not returned, the borrower will have to pay for its replacement.
